Violence among school school children in the form of bullying and physical fighting represents a topic of great concern for parents, school staff, researchers and policy makers, not only due to the high prevalence of these behaviours, but also due to their short and long term negative consequences to youth development.
This fact sheet summarises findings from the 2009/10 HBSC survey and provides policy reflections for decision makers to tackle this issue.
