International Coordinator opens global meeting of pediatricians with update on HBSC's evidence

Each year leading pediatricians from dozens of countries gather for the Excellence in Pediatrics (EiP) international conference, which focuses on reviewing the latest trends and challenges in child and adolescent health. This year the conference, taking place in London December 8th-10th, was co-organised with the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children study and WHO Collaborating Centre for International Child and Adolescent Health Policy at the University of St Andrews.

During the opening plenary, Dr Joanna Inchley (HBSC's International Coordinator), presented the latest trends and evidence on young people's health at the population level. The conference's delegates include a wide variety of global experts from Pediatrics, Neonatology, Adolescent medicine and Health Policy.

Child Health Policy focus groups will run in parallel to the main conference, bringing together leading experts from research, pediatrics and adolescent health, to identify and overcome barriers to better pediatric and adolescent care.
