HBSC special issue published in Journal of Adolescent Health

To coincide with the launch of Spotlight on adolescent health and well-being, the HBSC study has partnered with the Journal of Adolescent Health to publish a special issue, featuring the first peer-reviewed analyses of data from the 2017/18 international survey.

The special issue, Understanding Adolescent Health and Wellbeing in Context: Cross-National Findings from the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children Study, includes 3 commentaries and 10 original articles. All of the articles are open access and available to read online for free.

The analyses reveal findings with important policy implications spanning socioeconomic and gender inequalities, social media, and mental health and well-being and highlight the importance of investment in the adolescent years.
